Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mechanical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for:
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all mechanical systems.
* Support the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical infrastructure, including CRAC units, HVAC systems, AHUs, pumps, and chilled water systems.
* Conduct mechanical fault‑finding, diagnostics, and repair work to maintain uptime and site resilience.
* Work closely with the engineering and on‑site facilities teams to ensure compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports, ensuring documentation meets client standards.
* Support in emergency response situations, including mechanical plant failures or environmental alarms.
* Carry out routine inspections and performance checks to ensure optimal plant operation.
To be successful for this Mechanical Engineer role you must have:
* Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (C&G, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
* Strong mechanical systems knowledge including chilled water, HVAC, and cooling plant.
* F‑Gas qualification (2079) – desirable
* Chiller‑bias background or experience working on chilled water systems – desirable
* Good understanding of health & safety procedures including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
