Due to a recent FPSO project award 15th Dec we are looking for an Instrument and Electrical engineer to start asap
Skills/experience
- prepare/read/markup/ comment SLD, Block and Termination diagrams for following system : Instrumentation, F&G, Electrical, etc
- prepare/read/markup/comment E&I Basis of Design/Cable Voltage drop Calculation/Electrical Load list
- follow up manufacturers/suppliers (JBs/Cables/Instruments/Control Panel/etc) work and progress
⚙️ Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Responsibilities (Offshore Design Company)
1. Design & Engineering
* Develop and review electrical and instrumentation design deliverables, including:
* Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
* Cable Block Diagrams and Routing Layouts
* Instrument Loop Diagrams, Hook-Up Drawings, and Wiring Schematics
* Lighting, Earthing, and Power Distribution layouts
* I/O lists and Cause & Effect Diagrams
* Perform load calculations, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis.
* Design control and automation systems, integrating PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems for offshore applications.
* Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ATEX, API, BS, NORSOK).
* Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and equipment specifications.
2. Technical Documentation
* Prepare and review technical datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions for electrical and instrumentation equipment (motors, transformers, MCCs, transmitters, analyzers, control panels, etc.).
* Support the development of Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Control Narratives.
* Review and approve vendor documentation (drawings, test procedures, GA drawings).
* Maintain document control and revision tracking in alignment with project procedures.
3. Interface & Coordination
* Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, and structural disciplines to ensure seamless integration of E&I systems.
* Interface with vendors, third-party inspectors, and clients to resolve technical queries (TQs) and ensure compliance.
Desirables Previous Experience:
- From oil and gas industry
- FPSO/FSO experience is a plus
