Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at Gatwick IRC located in Gatwick. The Senior Mental Health Nurse will support mental health services, assist GPs, and work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to provide advanced clinical practice and leadership.
Hours and Schedule
Hours: 37.5 per week. The site offers a 24-hour service with shift patterns Monday to Sunday, including weekend working on a rotational basis. Typical hours are 08:00 to 18:00.
Salary
Salary ranges between £43,609 and £49,175 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary.
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients’ mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload, assessing physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
- Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision by providing outstanding evidence‑based care, seeking and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
- Deliver non‑judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Play an active part in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist or Social Worker – HCPC / NMC Registered
- Experience of working within mental health settings
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi‑disciplinary environment
