About Us
At Coton Day Nursery, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and education for children. As a Nursery Third in Charge/Room Leader, you will play a vital role in assisting management with daily operations and fostering positive relationships with staff and parents.
This is a full-time position, and our nursery operates year-round, so you’ll enjoy a consistent schedule. You’ll be working with a maximum of 24 children across two age groups, providing you with the opportunity to lead and inspire!

Your Responsibilities
As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will:
* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences for children, tailored to their age and development.
* Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
* Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
* Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
* Implement an effective key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
* Maintain accurate records and accounts related to children and staff.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
* Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
* Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential
* Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position: Desirable
* Knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
* Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework: Essential
* Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
