Job Specification – Event Stewards (Spookesbury 2025)
Event: Spookesbury – Halloween Festival
Dates: 29th October – 2nd November 2025
Location: Rookesbury Park, Wickham, PO17 6HT
Role Overview:
Our stewards are the friendly faces of Spookesbury. You'll help guests navigate the site, manage queues, support safety procedures, and make sure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide information and assistance to festival-goers.
* Manage queues, crowd flow, and access points.
* Monitor guest safety and wellbeing throughout the event.
* Check tickets/wristbands and direct guests to the right areas.
* Assist in emergency procedures (evacuation, first aid support etc).
* Report incidents promptly to supervisors or security.
* Keep designated areas clean, safe, and welcoming.
Requirements:
* Strong communication and people skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
* Friendly, confident, and approachable.
* Comfortable working outdoors, sometimes in the dark/rain.
* No previous stewarding experience necessary – full briefing provided.
Shift Details:
* Afternoon/evening shifts (approx. 5–8 hours).
* Breaks provided.
* Uniform: black clothing (event hi-vis provided).
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 days
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 28/10/2025
