Job Advert

Falkirk's Children's Services Planning Partnership (CSPP) is seeking an experienced, values led manager to lead the next phase of a new Partnership Family Wellbeing and Support approach to delivering services in our communities. This is an exciting 18 month fixed term opportunity to help us work differently, listening to the voices of our communities and people with lived experience and responding to what matters most to families.

Following a successful bid to the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund (WFWF), Falkirk has secured funding to scope and codesign a multi-agency Whole Family Wellbeing and Support approach to service delivery. There is agreement in principle to fund the project for one year after development. The project will test a new model of joined up, responsive, and tailored support for families, including strengthening access to out of hours, in person support and ensuring families can tell their story once.

This post may also be considered as a secondment opportunity, subject to the approval of your current line manager and organization.

About the role

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to scope, develop, collaboratively build and co-design a complex, multi agency service delivery model, with the aim of taking this forward into mobilisation and implementation. The support service will take an early intervention approach, supporting families experiencing a range of challenges including poverty, housing instability, mental ill health, domestic abuse and substance misuse. The project will complement and strengthen existing services across Falkirk.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the scoping and design phase to shape a clear, evidence informed model for future service delivery
* Collaborating with communities and people with lived experience to codesign how support is delivered
* Building and sustaining strong multiagency governance, shared ownership and partnership commitment
* Mapping current pathways, listening to staff and families, identifying gaps and duplication, and agreeing collaborative solutions
* Coordinating contributions from partner services and aligning the wider workforce around a single, shared approach
* Leading mobilisation and implementation, including practical delivery planning, communications and problem solving as the new approach goes live
* Managing a small team of family support staff, providing clear direction, support and oversight of day to day delivery

Have a leadership and coordination role with partner agencies who are involved in the multi-agency approach

* Ensuring robust evaluation, learning and quarterly reporting in line with the funding requirements from the Whole Family Wellbeing Funds (WFWF).
* Driving sustainability planning and securing longer term partnership commitment beyond the initial funding period

Requirements

Essential

* Experience of managing staff and resources
* Experience working with families impacted by complex challenges
* Proven experience of working effectively within a complex multi agency context
* Demonstrable track record of leading and managing system change
* Strong partnership, communication and influencing skills
* Relevant degree qualification
* Relevant post graduate learning and development
* Experience of whole family, trauma informed and/or early intervention models
* Experience of co design and engagement with people with lived experience

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
