The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll supervise classes using pre-set lesson plans, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.
You will:
Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using prepared resources
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Create a positive, calm, and respectful learning environment
Support pupils with tasks and ensure work is completed
Build quick, professional relationships with students and staff
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be confident leading a classroom and able to adapt quickly to different situations.
Experience working with children or young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, coaching, etc.)
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Calm, confident, and professional presence
Reliable, flexible, and organised
A genuine interest in education and pupil development
No QTS required — full guidance and support provided.
