Im currently working with a fantastic organisation delivering impactful, national programmes focused on improving health outcomes and increasing access to physical activity. Theyre now looking to bring in a Communications Officer to support a busy and high-profile portfolio of work.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a strong communicator who enjoys working across multiple projects, engaging stakeholders, and turning complex information into clear, compelling content.
The Role
As Communications Officer, youll play a key role in supporting programme delivery through effective, high-quality communications. Youll be involved in everything from stakeholder updates and content creation through to event communications and digital engagement.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and confident managing their own workload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Producing engaging communications including newsletters, briefings, and stakeholder updates
* Creating high-quality content such as website articles, case studies, and programme summaries
* Supporting communications activity around key events and campaigns
* Managing communication plans, timelines, and internal coordination
* Assisting with digital communications including email campaigns and website updates
* Building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
About You
To be successful in this role, youll have:
* Educated to HND level or degree (or equivalent professional experience) in communications, marketing, public health, sport, or a related field
* Previous experience within a communications, marketing, or engagement position
* Excellent written skills with the ability to simplify complex information
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience producing content for a variety of audiences
* Confidence working with stakeholders and partnersExperience updating website content (e.g. CMS or WordPress)
Desirable
* Experience within healthcare, public sector, or charity environments
* Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp or similar
* Basic digital content creation skills
