An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Technician / Electrical Engineer to join a highly advanced engineering environment supporting complex electrical systems across a major technical facility.
This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of plant and equipment including control systems, power conversion systems, and LV/HV electrical distribution equipment within a fast-paced operational setting.
As the Electrical Engineer / Electrical Technician
You'll play a key part in supporting maintenance, installation, fault finding and commissioning activities across critical electrical infrastructure and specialist plant systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting inspection and testing activities in line with BS7671 and site codes of practice
* Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work across plant systems
* Assisting with fault finding on control systems, electrical cubicles and power conversion equipment
* Supporting the build and commissioning of new electrical equipment
* Producing and maintaining technical documentation and safe systems of work
* Taking ownership of technical tasks and delivering work safely and efficiently
* Supporting wider facility operations as required
Experience
* Apprentice trained with industrial electrical experience
* Experience working on 3-phase power systems within industrial environments
* C&G 2330 Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent
* ONC/HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering also considered
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
* Strong understanding of safe working practices and electrical compliance standards
Desirable Experience
* Inspection & Testing qualification
* Experience with LV/HV systems
* Exposure to control systems and power conversion equipment
* Experience undertaking delicate electrical work such as thermocouple connections
