As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you’ll use your clinical reasoning—not hands-on care—to support people living with long-term health conditions, with the benefit of hybrid working and a clear work–life balance. However, this role requires the ability to use computers and learn different software packages to complete detailed, high-quality reports for all claimants assessed. If you prefer hands-on care, struggle with structured frameworks or dislike producing detailed written reports, this will not be the right fit. If you’ve submitted a recent application for an assessor role at Ingeus, it’s under review and there’s no need to reapply Day to Day You’ll carry out three functional assessments per day, completing: Telephone, video or in-person assessments Evidence review and clinical triage Focused questioning and active listening Clear, objective clinical reporting to strict standards You’ll manage your workload independently, and your reports will contribute to DWP decision making.
