The Governance & Legal Services Team provides efficient, professional services to the University Court and Senate, supporting students in conduct or complaints situations.
Reporting to the Director and Head of Governance & Legal Services, successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactively supporting the achievement of the University's Strategy 2030 goals through their work with the Court, Senate, and department, ensuring effective governance and compliance. The two roles are slightly different; further details are in the role profiles below.
You will excel in a busy, demanding environment, capable of multi-tasking and prioritising effectively, working closely with university governors, the executive team, and colleagues to ensure proper governance and compliance.
Demonstrable administrative and organisational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, are essential, ideally gained within a Higher Education context. The ability to meet deadlines independently within a team, and experience supporting committees, are highly valued. You should be able to handle confidential and sensitive issues appropriately.
