About us

The North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24/7 emergency services, including accident and emergency care, patient transport, and non-emergency medical transportation for those with medical needs that hinder travel.

Our skilled staff deliver life-saving care, transport patients to hospitals or care facilities, and work alongside other emergency services to ensure public safety and effective treatment during major incidents.

We also operate the NHS 111 service in the North West, which offers non-emergency medical advice 24/7, replacing NHS Direct in 2013 to improve access to NHS services.
