Solicitor - Corporate Commercial Worcester based with a balance of home and office working £48,611 - £51,169 per year 35 hours per week (Flexible working arrangements including part time hours and job shares will be considered) We have an opportunity for a Solicitor – Corporate Commercial to join our Corporate Commercial team, based in Worcester. This role sits within Legal Services which provides legal assistance and support to the Group to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met. Reporting into the Legal Counsel – Corporate Commercial, this role provides an excellent opportunity for an NQ solicitor or a more experienced solicitor looking to re-train into corporate commercial law or to move into an in-house environment. This role is to assist the Corporate Commercial Team in the delivery of high-quality legal services to Sanctuary Housing Association and its subsidiaries and operations. The role of Solicitor - Corporate Commercial will include: Supporting the Corporate Commercial in-house legal team in its delivery of high-quality proactive legal services in relation a wide array of areas including commercial, corporate and regulatory law in a variety of sectors. Managing a varied caseload of legal work including your own case load of corporate, commercial and regulatory legal matters and queries and additional tasks supporting the wider team in delivery of our shared goals. Liaising with the Group’s external legal advisors and working collaboratively with them on cross disciplinary projects and cases. Ensuring that legal services are delivered in a cost effective and efficient way. Assisting in the supervision and training of junior team members, including trainee solicitors. Skills and experiences: Educated to Degree level (or equivalent), you will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales (NQ). Experienced in advising senior managers and staff on legal issues. Experienced in managing a varied caseload of complex matters. Experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions. Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders both internally and externally. Able to demonstrate a proactive and hands-on approach and a willingness to broaden expertise and step outside of comfort zone. Why work for us?
