The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.
Our flagship specialist cancer hospital was opened in central Liverpool in June 2020, supported by our hospital on the Clatterbridge Health Park in Wirral providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care and our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree Hospital site.
Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside’s district hospitals, we are able to deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies. We also deliver a pioneering Treatment at Home and Work service; are the only facility in the UK providing low-energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers and host the region’s Teenage and Young Adult Unit, (supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust).
Working with leading experts from The University of Liverpool and the Cancer Research UK Liverpool Cancer Trials Unit we strive to stay at the forefront of novel treatments and techniques to deliver more effective and personalised treatments than ever before.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool to develop our existing Interventional Radiology & Brachytherapy departments.
Due to expansion these are new roles to add to our existing team, these roles will predominantly based in Interventional Radiology. Shift patterns & days of the week will be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
We are looking to recruit Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners to work across the service & cover all elements of the patient pathway.
We are keen to welcome applicants from all diverse backgrounds with the skills & motivation to join a busy, developing team.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals that wish to progress their skills & be part of the development of the service. To deliver high quality patient care across the roles which consist of Pre Assessment, admission, monitoring and ensuring patients are comfortable for their procedures including safe sedation & pain relief management, assisting the consultant with procedures, immediate recovery, post op care & discharge.
Full induction and training will be given including competencies, Pre Assessment course, Clinical Examinations, ALS & Safe Sedation.

* Responsible for safe and effective care of patients in pre operative, the perioperative and post-operative periods
* Perform pre operative assessments for patients to ensure fitness for treatment
* Assist medical staff when they are performing invasive procedures.
