We are now recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join our team at Doubletree by Hilton York.
As a Kitchen Porter, you are responsible for assisting ensuring the kitchen area is spotless and ready for service.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· To ensure that all cutlery, crockery, pots and equipment are cleaned to the standard required.
· To ensure that all equipment, cutlery, crockery, pots and glassware is stored safely and allocated to correct areas ensuring that any breakages are reported.
· To keep the kitchen and all related areas clean and tidy.
· To ensure cleaning procedures are followed for the cleaning of equipment with chemicals and follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
· To ensure that any faults or damage to equipment are reported to a Senior Chef or Head Kitchen Steward.
· To ensure food materials are stored correctly and rotated to meet company and legal requirements.
· To maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and working methods.
· To practice the correct and safe use and care of all items of equipment.
· To report any damage or wear and tear occurring within your areas of work.
