Fire Risk Assessor
Location: Visits will be required in Leeds, Wakefield, Rotherham, Yorkshire and Humber
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum plus car allowance (negotiable for highly qualified and experienced candidates)

About The Role
As a Fire Risk Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings and public spaces with fire safety regulations. Your primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments, identifying potential fire hazards, and developing effective fire safety plans to mitigate risks.
You will work closely with clients, providing expert advice on fire safety measures, and collaborate with fire services, building managers, and surveyors to ensure standards are met. Staying current with fire safety legislation and best practices is essential.
You will also deliver fire safety training to employees and stakeholders, produce detailed reports, and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Conduct fire risk assessments and audits per guidelines
2. Identify fire hazards and evaluate risks
3. Develop and implement fire safety and action plans
4. Provide fire safety advice verbally and in reports
5. Stay updated on fire safety regulations
6. Collaborate with fire services and other professionals
7. Deliver fire safety training
8. Produce detailed assessment reports
Key Criteria
* Proven experience as a fire risk assessor or related field
* Minimum of 3 years' experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., IFE/FPA, NEBOSH, IOSH)
* Knowledge of fire safety regulations (e.g., Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005)
* Attention to detail and knowledge of fire safety legislation
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Full UK driving license

To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
