Overview
As our Transport Manager / Yard Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our yard and delivery services. You'll manage a team of drivers and yard staff, oversee stock control, and ensure our customers receive their materials on time and in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all yard operations, including goods in/out, stock rotation, and housekeeping.
* Manage and schedule deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient service.
* Supervise and motivate yard and driving staff, ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.
* Maintain vehicle compliance, including servicing, inspections, and legal documentation.
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics.
* Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within the builders merchants or construction supply industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
* Knowledge of transport legislation and vehicle compliance.
* Forklift licence (desirable).

Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00
Saturday 08:00-12:00
