Cherry Tree School is a brand new special school in Walsall, offering the highest quality of education for up to 75 children (3-19) with a range of additional needs. We are looking to recruit a Music Tutor/Teaching Assistant who will join us on this exciting journey, enabling the school to grow and evolve. We are seeking a Music Tutor/Teaching Assistant who ‘just gets’ children. This role will be timed split 50/50 between being in the classroom supporting the Teacher and being in our new purpose-built Music Studio. The successful candidate will not necessarily need to have a music qualification, but will need to have some background in delivering Music Lessons to our pupils varying between the age of 3yrs- 18yrs. Our aim is to provide innovative and enjoyable education, therapy and early intervention for pupils, sometimes (and only where appropriate) enabling them to successfully return to mainstream schooling, but always helping them to become happy, positive and valuable members of society. Cherry Tree School enables pupils to access a curriculum that offers a personalised education rooted in social and emotional development, rich in speech and language, enabling the very best achievement both personally and academically.
