Our client is looking for a confident and collaborative Head of Ecommerce & Performance who will uphold all standards of excellence and play a key role in leading and scaling the brand’s digital commerce strategy across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Amazon.
MY ROLE AT A GLANCE
The Head of Ecommerce and Performance will own and scale the brand’s digital commerce strategy across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Amazon, delivering profitable growth while protecting brand equity, luxury positioning, and customer experience.
This role is responsible for end-to-end Ecommerce performance, including revenue, P&L, traffic, conversion, retention, and overall user experience. The successful candidate will balance commercial rigor with brand sensitivity, ensuring best-in-class execution across channels. You will be hands on and comfortable moving between high level strategy and detailed execution.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
* Develop and execute ecommerce strategy to drive growth across D2C and Amazon, aligned with brand, commercial and growth objectives.
* Own the ecommerce P&L, forecasting, budgeting and long-term growth planning, ensuring business objectives are met.
* Work with marketing team to manage product listings for optimum performance.
* Collaborate with Operations and NPD to ensure accurate stock forecasting/allocation to achieve annual budgets, including exclusive DTC product development, exclusive kits and GWPs
* Oversee the ecommerce platform, ensuring the site is running smoothly, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating closely with tech/dev teams for any tech-related requirements.
* Act as the senior digital commerce voice within the business, partnering closely with Brand, Marketing, NPD, Education, Operations, and Finance
* Develop promotional/trading calendar, working closely with marketing and brand to brief & ideate campaign creative and evaluate effectiveness post launch.
* Develop, analyse and own growth KPIs including conversion rate, AOV, customer lifetime value (CLV), cart abandonment rates, and return on advertising spend (ROAS) working closely with Business Intelligence and Digital Technology Manager. Identify trends, opportunities, and recommend areas for improvement.
* Define A/B testing for website elements (landing pages, product pages, checkout process) to increase conversion rates and sales.
* Monitor and analyse competitor activity to identify market trends and areas of opportunity.
* Work closely with the marketing team to develop digital campaigns that drive traffic and increase sales across all online channels.
* Manage and lead performance marketing agency to optimise paid search, display, and social media advertising campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retention.
* Work closely with the brand and marketing teams to manage and enhance the brand’s presence on Amazon, ensuring that product listings are optimised, reviews are monitored, and promotional moments (e.g., Amazon Prime Day) are leveraged effectively.
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product availability, accurate product information, and a consistent brand experience across channels.
* Ensure exceptional customer experience from landing on site to product delivery.
MY CORE OBJECTIVES ARE
* Deliver ecommerce revenue growth across D2C and Amazon in line with annual commercial targets.
* Improve website conversion rate through optimisation, A/B testing and enhanced customer journey.
* Increase average order value (AOV) through merchandising, bundles, cross-selling and promotional activity.
* Grow customer lifetime value (CLV) while improving customer acquisition and retention performance.
* Maintain efficient marketing performance, optimising return on advertising spend (ROAS) across paid channels.
* Reduce cart abandonment rate through UX improvements and checkout optimisation.
WHAT I BRING TO THE ROLE
* Experience at this level in beauty (or adjacent premium product categories)
* A proven track record of scaling ecommerce sales, margin, and profitability targets across UK and International markets
* Strategic thinking with experience developing and executing ecommerce and digital trading strategies aligned with global objectives
* Being an expert in trade planning and digital merchandising, leveraging pricing, promotions, and UX enhancements to improve conversion rates and AOV.
* Strong analytical skills, able to interpret KPIs and customer data to inform decisions and optimise performance.
* Leadership excellence, with a history of building and inspiring high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving a customer-centric culture.
* Adaptable and growth-focused mindset, capable of accelerating growth through tailored strategies and innovative solutions.
* Stakeholder management, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive strategies and continuous improvement
