About The David Lock Horsepool Foundation (TDLHF)
The David Lock Horsepool Foundation (TDLHF) is a Burbage-based charity, founded in 2022 to support the local community, especially autistic young people and their families. We're here to be a positive part of village life, offering support and opportunities through inclusive experiences and other ways we believe can help people connect, grow, and build confidence. Currently, we are exploring areas to expand our service such as a Tech Centre to open new possibilities, and we also hope to support the wider village, including offering grants to other local charities and community groups.
Our first project, Horsepool Farm, began in 2023. The farm is run by our dedicated farm managers, who offer tailored sessions by appointment, either one-to-one or in small school groups, depending on individual needs. We have a mix of wellbeing activities, animal care sessions, volunteering, and work experience, all centred around spending meaningful time with our animals in a calm, supportive environment.
This is a key leadership role at a time of development and opportunity. You will take ownership of the charity and oversee and be involved in all areas of operation and development. You will play a central part in expanding the charity's offer in line with the direction agreed by our Trustees.
