Main duties of the job
As Practice Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of our GP practice, working closely with our clinical partners and administrative and nursing teams. This role offers the autonomy to shape the practice management function while receiving the full support of an engaged partnership.
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Have proven experience in primary care management (essential)
* Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills
* Be confident in financial management, including accounts, budgeting and forecasting
* Possess expertise in CQC, governance, and contract compliance
* Be able to maximise income without compromising quality of care
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
* Thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with stakeholders and PCN partners

* Location: Lostwithiel, on the River Fowey, near the Cornish coast and countryside. We are supported by the local community and work with a local independent pharmacy to ensure the best care for our patients.

* Team: Experienced administrative and nursing staff, supported by GP and Pharmacist Partners
* Training Practice: Active involvement in GP VTS training, University of Exeter Medical School and University of Plymouth School of Nursing
* Collaborative work: Close with neighbouring practices and PCN; active in developing our Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT), a Phase 1 site in Cornwall
