Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing client on a permanent basis located the Telford area.
Due to the nature of this role, previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to a required standard
2. Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
3. Help with new designs, instillation of new machines and movements of existing machines
4. Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment
5. Ensuring machines and equipment are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
6. Conduct continuous machine observation, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard
7. Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards
Candidate Requirements:
8. Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician
9. Ability to logically find faults
10. Able to read mechanical drawing
11. Experience working with chain, sprocket, belt driven machinery
12. Worked with circuits from 415 to 24VDC power & control
13. Carry out planned preventative maintenance
14. Follow company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety
Working Hours:
15. 06:45 – 16:00 Monday to Friday – Early finish Fridays
16. 40 hours work week
Pay Rate:
17. 17.25 per hour
