Overview
We are seeking a friendly, supportive and motivated pharmacist passionate about education and staff development. This highly rewarding role focuses on front‑line training and offers the chance to make a real impact. The position is a Band 8A Education and Training Lead Pharmacist at Frimley Park Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of training for Trainee Pharmacists.
* Oversee university placements and collaborate with external partners to ensure excellent learning experiences.
* Contribute to evolving pharmacy training programmes and support education for the wider healthcare team.
* Collaborate with colleagues across Frimley Park and Wexham Park sites to deliver innovative and effective training strategies; some cross‑site travel is required.
* Lead and manage Trainee Pharmacists, develop undergraduate training opportunities and contribute to teaching across the multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
* Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge and ensure training reflects real practice.
* Participate in weekend, late‑night and bank holiday rotas; balance is supported by strong team commitment.
Qualifications and Requirements
* You must be registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Applications are welcome from all sectors of pharmacy practice, including hospital, community, primary care, industry and academia.
* Full‑time post with commitment to evening, weekend and Bank Holiday duties as per rota.
* Part‑time positions will also be considered.
