We are seeking a reliable and professional Relief Security Officer to join our team at SGD Guarding. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work across various sites as needed to cover absences, ensuring continuity of service, and maintaining high-security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure security and safety.
* Monitor CCTV and other security systems to detect any unusual activity.
* Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing immediate assistance as needed.
* Manage access control procedures, including checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
* Provide a visible and approachable security presence, assisting staff, clients, and visitors as required.
* Write detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and security concerns.
* Ensure compliance with all security protocols and health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a security role (preferred but not essential).
* SIA license is required.
* Driving licence is required due to location and time of some shifts.
* Strong observational skills and the ability to identify potential security risks.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Physically fit and able to carry out patrols and stand for long periods if needed.
* A calm and professional demeanour, particularly in stressful situations.
