Are you an experienced Systems Engineer ready to take the lead in exciting new product developments within the aerospace sector? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering organisation seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team based in Wimborne. What You'll Do: This position supports research and development of cutting-edge aerospace systems, including aircraft refuelling and weapons release/storage systems. You will lead on requirements management, system architecture, and integration, playing a key role in the migration of requirements processes from CRADLE to DOORS NG. You'll work across global teams, liaising closely with stakeholders to deliver high-value Systems Engineering (SE) outputs that support full product lifecycle development. Key Responsibilities Include: Support bid & proposal efforts by reviewing customer requirements and contributing to estimates and risk assessments Develop, allocate, and manage system requirements and specifications Lead the migration from CRADLE to DOORS NG, including training, planning, and tool administration Serve as SME for Systems Engineering across multiple programmes Support standardisation and continuous improvement of SE processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to support system design, integration, and review Actively contribute to process development, training, and mentoring within the SE discipline About You: Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline Significant experience in Systems Engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector Proficient in requirements management tools, particularly DOORS NG and CRADLE Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), particularly using tools like CAMEO Experience across full product lifecycle and design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and mentor across teams Knowledge of DFM, DFMEA, RCCA principles DFSS Green Belt certification (or willingness to achieve within 12 months) INCOSE membership (or similar) desirable Benefits: Hybrid working : 3 days onsite, 2 days from home (after probation) 9-day fortnight (dependent on business needs) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Annual bonus based on personal and business performance Employer pension contributions up to 8% Ongoing training and career development opportunities If you're ready to bring your Systems Engineering expertise to a role where you'll drive change and make an impact, apply now to find out more.
