RMS are excited to be working with one of the UK’s largest independent new and used equipment dealer and are looking for a Parts Assistant to join their team!
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £26-£28k per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Answer and respond to telephone calls and emails from customers, Production, and Service departments.
2. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to determine product specifications, availability, and lead times.
3. Use manufacturer help desk platforms to gather information and resolve technical queries.
4. Assist in assigning parts and materials to Production and Service jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Allocate parts to live jobs in the ERP system, applying relevant customer-specific discounts.
6. Coordinate with the Warehouse Department to ensure timely dispatch of goods via packing slips.
7. Support the organisation and processing of returned parts in collaboration with the Warehouse team.
8. Review completed jobs to verify all required materials have been issued and unused parts returned.
9. Raise accurate Purchase Orders in line with company procedures.
10. Provide regular updates on order statuses and parts lead times to internal stakeholders.
11. Coordinate the movement of stock between warehouses to meet job and customer requirements.
12. Track parts orders through pallet and courier networks to ensure timely delivery.
13. Support Workshop and Service departments in the supply and availability of necessary parts.
14. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve administrative queries and support operational efficiency.
15. Report any Health & Safety concerns immediately to the Line Manager.
16. Ensure correct use of company uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with company policy.
17. Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Line Manager.
About You:
18. Previous experience in a similar parts coordination or materials management role is desired, however full training will be provided.
19. General Administration experience.
20. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
21. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
