Role: Head of Overseas Business Development

Hill Engineering is a major global provider of attachments for hydraulic excavators. The core product is called Tefra; an innovative, robust and high-quality hydraulic coupler that can be installed on excavators from 2-ton to 120-ton size classes. It allows machine operators to connect and disconnect a wide range of attachments without leaving the cab, enhancing efficiency and safety.
Products are sold worldwide in Europe, North America, and Australasia. Key customers include OEMs in the construction equipment market, dealers, and end users of all sizes. Founded in 1992 and wholly owned by the Hill family, the company is led by Managing Director Ian Hill.
Overview of the role
* Take responsibility for the overall annual sales target per the current Business Plan and act as a full member of the Hill management group.
* Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Finance, and Product/Customer Support.
* Ensure sales operations align with Board policies and strategies.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
* Sales – Identify and implement a clear strategy to increase sales of Hill products in all major developed economies.
* Dealer development – Identify suitable dealer candidates, recommend appointments upon Board approval, and manage relationships.
* Strategy – Create and implement a robust sales and marketing strategy aligned with Hill’s growth plans.
* Market knowledge – Monitor market changes and report developments to the Board, recommending initiatives such as new products or distribution models.
