Assistant Manager Nursing Care Home Location: NG4 3AX, Nottingham Salary: £50,420 £60,731 per year Job Type: Permanent Work Location: In-person About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to join their nursing care home team. The role involves supporting the Registered Manager, leading staff, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for residents, with a focus on dementia care. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the dementia unit, ensuring safe, compassionate care. Provide RMN clinical leadership, operational oversight, and continuous quality improvement aligned to CQC standards and best practice. Support the Registered Manager across administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance functions. Deputise for the Registered Manager when required, supporting their decisions. Maintain professional skills and complete required training. Ensure compliance with infection control policies and report concerns. Oversee assessment, care planning, and review processes, ensuring trauma-informed, person-centred care. Manage BPSD, medication monitoring, and clinical risks (falls, nutrition, pressure care, pain, delirium). Chair or attend multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate input from GPs, CMHT, SALT, OT, physio, and pharmacy. Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and clinical audits. Requirements: Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with dementia care experience. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to maintain high standards of care while managing operational challenges.
