Civil / Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Up to 6 PQE)

Contract Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits
A growing and dynamic law firm is seeking a Civil / Commercial Litigation Solicitor (up to 6 years’ PQE) to join its expanding litigation team in Burnley.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload while working alongside experienced senior lawyers on complex and high-value disputes. The role offers genuine responsibility, strong support, and clear career progression within a collaborative environment.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering excellent client care from instruction through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters independently
* Advising clients on dispute strategy, risk, and costs
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and court documents
* Conducting legal research and preparing cases for hearings and trial
* Attending court, mediations, and settlement negotiations
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Contributing to business development and networking activities
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures

* Debt recovery
* Property litigation
* Shareholder and partnership disputes
* Contentious probate
* Continuing Healthcare fee disputes
Requirements
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
* Up to 6 years’ PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
* Experience managing your own caseload
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
* Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Excellent communication and client-care skills
Desirable:
* Experience in complex or high-value litigation
* Business development experience
* Supervisory or mentoring experience
