We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager with to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and/or childcare, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires someone who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained
2. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to childcare and early years education.
4. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other necessary documentation.
5. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community, promoting enrolment and engagement.
6. Providing monthly reports to the Company director using Microsoft Excel on enrollments, attendance etc
Experience
7. Proven experience in an early years setting in a managerial or supervisory role.
8. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
9. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
10. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
11. Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions
12. An appetite and drive to take on a new project
Qualifications (obtained or working towards):
13. A qualification in Childhood Practice recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council at SCQF level 9 or above
14. Management qualifications mapped to the Standard of Childhood Practice at SCQF level 9 or above
15. A BA in Childhood Practice
