Here at ISS, a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider in the UK, we are seeking an experienced Sustainability professional to deliver a major new public sector contract.
The client is a significant government entity managing an extensive estate of offices and facilities. The role involves providing Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability services to maintain the estate effectively.
You will work within a matrix team structure, managing relationships with key stakeholders, including customer contacts, contractors, and the broader account team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability professional to develop within one of the UK's largest Sustainability FM contracts.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the delivery of sustainability services as per contract specifications
* Developing and implementing the Sustainability Management Plan, monitoring progress, and reporting achievements
* Growing and engaging with employee champions network
* Setting environmental objectives and targets annually
* Establishing governance frameworks and engaging with senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant
* Implementing digital approaches to CSR and sustainability reporting
* Validating carbon data for reporting, seeking external certification, and monitoring performance
* Collaborating with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents like Improvement and Carbon Reduction Plans
* Designing reporting and assurance processes around sustainability and supporting other departments
* Developing site environmental risk assessments and priorities, including data collection and site visits
Requirements:
* Proven sustainability experience, including knowledge of ISO standards
* Experience working within complex, matrix team structures
