The needs of the user is everything to us, and how those needs are served falls under our Product teams.
They’re fact-finders.
They’re builders.
They’re ideators of ea
sy to use, information rich resources across our whole platform who - along with Analytics teams - get to the ‘why’ in order to create unrivaled user experiences.
You'll be joining a small but exciting team made up of content managers, product managers, analysts, designers, researchers and engineers. We’re creating community products that help support, inform, and inspire our users to better their health and wellness, and help them feel less alone.
You would work across different topics – from sex, to trying to conceive, to health conditions such as endometriosis.
Your job? To produce content that engages users with our community-focused product initiatives, inspiring them to join our online events and support groups (as an example). Internally, you’ll be a champion of Flo’s tone of voice, and promote our stringent medical and legal reviews. Essentially, your content should make taking out or renewing a Flo subscription a no-brainer for people everywhere.
To ensure your content is delivered as strategically as possible, you’d be working closely with our analyst and user researcher to understand real user needs and key selling points, to ensure every piece of content you deliver ladders up to our business goals and mission.
Whether you already work in content for a product-led company, or you’re keen to move into femtech, this role provides a really exciting opportunity to shape our future community product offerings at Flo.
Your Experience
Must have:
* Content design - or content writing/ management - and experience in Tech. You need to be comfortable writing for a range of content formats, from short-form promotional copy to long-form scripts — with a solid understanding of how content can be optimised for an app.
* A strong foundation in data interpretation. You should be comfortable using qualitative and quantitative data to inform your content ideas, and should understand how to review the performance of what you create — and plan improvements.
* Working towards business goals. You should be comfortable and competent at pitching content ideas that align with, and deliver on, the company’s quarterly objectives.
* A flexible and adaptable working style. You’re just as happy juggling lots of diverse, smaller tasks as being dedicated to one project for a whole quarter. You’re as game to audit and improve/repackage old content, as to create new.
* A collaborative approach. You’d be working closely with a range of different disciplines including product managers, analysts, designers, medical advisors, and UX researchers. You should be open to learning from them – as well as confident in sharing and promoting your own skills/ knowledge – to shape the best product together.
* A growth mindset. Willing to give and receive constructive feedback – and act on it. You should be open to spotting gaps in your knowledge and skills and be excited to close them, with the team’s support.
* Proactivity. You should be eager to participate in meetings, presentations, and projects. You’ll also be expected to spot opportunities for content or process improvements, pitching them with clear rationale, and helping to get them up and running.
Nice to have:
* Having worked in content in a product-led company, especially an app.
* Having worked in a start-up environment (adaptable working style).
* Experience using tools such as Figma, Miro, Looker, Jira, and/or Contentful (listed in order of importance).
* Experience in Community management or running online/ in-app events.
* Experience in women’s health or health tech. You have a strong knack for turning jargon-packed info into engaging, accessible, content for all.
* Experience working in a company that uses Agile methodology.
You'll be responsible for:
* Creating content for our various community support groups and online expert-led events, from long-form (such as scripts) to short-form (such as in-app promotion).
* Providing ideas for and supporting content creation of in-app tests for new concepts and hypotheses (such as A/B tests or fake door experiments).
* Using data to identify what will engage Flo users, for example which topics we need to deliver on or bring to life in our events.
* Active participation in ideation sessions and workshops. Everyone’s experience is valued, and we need someone who’s happy to collaborate with the whole team.
* Working closely with product design to seamlessly integrate our content with design, for a smooth user experience.
What you wont be doing:
* Working on the same piece of content for an entire quarter. We move fast — and adaptability is a must.
* Working in isolation. All of our work is a team effort, involving everyone’s input, from product managers to medical advisors.
* Being left to fend for yourself if a deadline is going off course or we’re not set to hit a target – we win/ lose as a team and we always work together to share responsibility.
Your targets will be:
* Write engagement-driving content that contributes to targets with your team, for example trials and subscriptions, user retention, and event sign-ups.
* Efficiently and effectively follow all production processes and suggest improvements.
* Support a positive, honest, curious and collaborative environment within the team.
Salary Range:
UK - £64,000 - £68,000 gross per year.
Ranges may vary depending on your skills, competencies and experience.
