Studio Lead – Birmingham
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an inspirational Studio Lead to drive the success of our Birmingham office. The role involves strategic growth, client engagement, and leading a multidisciplinary team across commercial and residential projects.
What You Can Bring
* Qualified Architect with ARB registration and full UK driving licence
* Demonstrable track record with commercial, residential and local government clients in Birmingham and the Midlands
* Creative designer with an understanding of technical delivery
* Proven team management skills and experience
* Calm leadership under pressure, able to inspire and motivate teams
* Experience preparing successful bids and tenders
* Ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders
* Direct experience as a lead coordinator, delivering projects at all stages
* Good awareness of Autodesk Revit and BIM project management
* Practical knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
Your Purpose
* Responsible for day‑to‑day studio operations, including staff development, resource management and finance.
* Lead project management decisions for major opportunities in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Support business development and bidding within Birmingham and the West Midlands markets.
* Develop the design culture and capability of our multidisciplinary team.
* Create compelling design concepts that enhance the firm's reputation.
* Secure work through winning bids and deliver projects to a high level of quality and client satisfaction as Lead Consultant/Design Manager.
* Identify opportunities and support winning bids in government, education and related sectors.
Security Clearance
This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer. Candidates should not mention current or previous security clearances in their application.
