Experienced Planning Engineer required for long term contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global engineering contractor within the oil & gas sector. This role is to be based at their UK head office in Surrey, and is expected to last 15 months. Please note that candidates must have experience working on LNG projects for this role. Job Description: * Develop the strategy for an integrated EPCI phase schedule to enable the identification of key activities during engineering development, procurement, construction and commissioning, interface with others, the overall duration of the work and critical work sequences to allow for successful completion of the work. * Support the preparation and update of Level 1, 2 and Level 3 schedules for EPCI phase. * Lead the development of the project interface schedules. * To develop, update and maintain systems and procedures relating to Basis of Schedule to include Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, Progress Certification, consistent with the Project requirements * To prepare and make in-depth reviews and analysis relating to Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Reporting, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), Productivity Analysis. * To identify the areas of concern impacting the project completion schedule and to advise the Project Managers on the proposed corrective actions. * Critical Path Analysis and the reporting of any areas of concern to the Project Management team. * To prepare resource deployment plan and validate their adequacy for meeting the completion schedules based on the productivity rates and recommend enhancements where required. * Schedule Risk Analysis. Candidates should have at least 10 years experience working on offshore and onshore oil & gas sector projects, including experience on major LNG projects.
