Job Overview
A laboratory support worker in Blood Sciences will assist qualified scientists in delivering a 24/7 medical laboratory service that analyzes blood, urine, faeces and other body materials. The role supports efficient patient care and effective resource management within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
You will work in the Blood Sciences Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd filling a full‑time Band 3 Medical Laboratory Assistant position. This key role complements the expertise of scientists and assistant staff within a fast‑paced diagnostic service. You will be expected to:
* Maintain basic knowledge of laboratory services.
* Demonstrate the capacity to learn and develop with a drive to deliver an excellent service.
* Show strong team‑working skills, communicate well, and work supportively with colleagues.
* Focus on delivering quality service and treating others with respect and dignity.
