Mobile Cleaner – Kent and Medway NHS Trust
Full‑time permanent role based at Greenacres Site, Dartford (DA2 6PB). 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day, 4‑week rotation.
Job Summary
Provides high‑standard mobile cleaning services across clinical and patient care areas, supporting the Trust’s New NHS Cleaning Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete the daily shift plan within the agreed time‑scale, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
* Complete weekly departmental performance monitoring to maintain the Trust’s standards.
* Maintain a patient‑focused service across clinical areas.
* Undertake general cleaning and other related domestic tasks to a high standard, managing own task schedules.
* Maintain a high standard of provision of other hotel‑services related tasks.
* Work as part of the Hotel Services team, in conjunction with ward managers on all aspects of ward cleaning and hygiene.
* Ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy and Health and Safety standards.
* Remove rubbish to designated collection points.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous cleaning experience.
* Basic knowledge of National Cleaning Standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work without direct supervision.
* COSH training.
* Cleaning NVQ (Desirable).
Other Requirements
* Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car/vehicle for business purposes.
* Must be able to travel between sites promptly; may attend more than one site in a day.
* Commitment to the New NHS Cleaning Guidelines and High‑Cost Area allowance framework.
Salary & Benefits
£24,465 per annum pro‑rata (inclusive of high‑cost area supplement). High‑Cost Area allowance: 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum of £1,258 and a maximum of £2,121 per year, paid monthly.
Working Pattern
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, four‑week rotation. Work hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
