As Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in shaping how the Group grows. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full portfolio, lead the development of commercial opportunities and strengthen the Group’s presence in key markets. You will be involved in strategic planning, market analysis, proposal development and partner engagement. Job Opportunity
The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting and driving the commercial and growth priorities of RCI Group. Working closely with senior leaders and individual businesses within the portfolio, the role involves analysing market opportunities, coordinating the development of strategic proposals and ensuring high quality, consistent commercial outputs. It requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage complex information and confidence working across a wide range of operational and strategic environments.
Key responsibilities include
• Leading and supporting research, analysis and opportunity identification across health, justice, social care and data driven sectors
• Coordinating the preparation of high quality bids, proposals, presentations and commercial documentation
• Working closely with Group businesses to gather accurate information and shape compelling submissions that reflect service models and market needs
• Maintaining effective systems, trackers and documentation that support commercial planning, reporting and performance management
• Supporting senior leadership in meetings, briefings and strategic engagement with commissioners, partners and stakeholders
• Ensuring consistency, clarity and accuracy across all Business Development materials and processes
• Contributing to Group wide commercial and strategic projects as part of the Business Development function
Essential Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for producing high quality bids and commercial materials
• Ability to analyse markets, interpret information and extract insight that supports strategic decision making
• Experience managing multiple priorities and coordinating work across different business areas
• Confident working with senior leaders and engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage deadlines
• High level of attention to detail to ensure precision and consistency across all outputs
• Ability to understand and translate diverse service models spanning clinical services, community care, digital products and data driven organisations
• Proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities, contribute ideas and support continuous improvement
• Comfortable working at pace in a dynamic and growing organisation
