For all our apprentice positions, we re looking for 3 National 4s or equivalent, ideally Maths, English and a Science subject. Based at Stobhill Depot, Newtongrange, Your trade will be tailored to give you formal training combined with practical, supervised on-the-job training and a recognised qualification at the end of it. We are looking to recruit 16-19 year olds in order to comply with Skills Development Scotland requirements to secure fully funded training places. As this is considered a funding issue it is therefore only open to 16 to 19 year olds and age legislation is not applicable. While we are looking for 16-19 year olds to apply for these posts we understand that some people will not reach their 16 th birthday until after the closing date. Successful candidates will be registered with the appropriate Industry Training Organisation for the duration of their training programme. Apprentices will receive a personal training plan which will outline the development of their work based training programme which will be reviewed at regular intervals.
