Platers Wanted - Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Project
We are currently seeking experienced Platers to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Plant. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proficient in using fabrication drawings to develop fabrication plans and select appropriate tools and equipment.
* Fabrication shop assembly experience, including burning and grinding.
Strong plating skills, including cutting, preparing, shaping, fabricating, and assembling plate and steelwork.
* Experience with skin casing, duct work, hangers,and supports - fabrication and repair.
* Ability to work from task-specific instructions, including method statements and task plans.
* Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes.
* Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork, Shipbuilding, or Metalworking
* OR Minimum Level 3 Diploma in the same fields
* OR Minimum Level 6 (if awarded in Scotland)
* OR ACE Card - Level 3 in Plating
* OR Chinese Diploma in Welding and Fabrication
Route B - Experience-Based:
* Pass a Competency-Based Interview with a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
* Minimum 5 years of verified experience in a plating role
Hours & Pay:
* Standard working hours: 38 hours/week, Monday - Thursday
* Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
* Generous nightshift uplift
