Job Opportunity: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home Location: ilford Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) Full-time | Permanent We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our children’s residential home team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to support the Registered Manager in delivering high standards of care and helping young people reach their full potential. About the role: As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home. You will provide leadership to the staff team, support in implementing care plans, and help create a positive and safe environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Key responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in achieving compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations Lead, mentor, and supervise care staff Ensure individualised care plans and risk assessments are followed and reviewed regularly Assist in rota management, recruitment, and training Act as the responsible person in the absence of the Registered Manager Promote safeguarding and child protection throughout the service Build positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external agencies Requirements: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it At least 2 years' experience in a senior or supervisory role within a children’s residential setting Knowledge of Ofsted inspections and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 Excellent communication and leadership skills Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people Full UK driving licence (preferred) What we offer: Supportive management and ongoing training opportunities Clear progression path towards Registered Manager roles Competitive salary and holiday package A positive and rewarding working environment
