<div><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>The appointees will join with the existing Acute Physicians in the Department of Acute Medicine at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. Though this primary post is based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.</p><p>Specialists in Acute Internal Medicine or General Internal Medicine recognised by the EEC are eligible to apply. Appropriate office accommodation, secretarial support and IT support will be provided.</p><p>The post holder will work across our Acute Medicine department in the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU), the Short Stay Unit and the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU).</p><p>The MAU/AAU sees, assesses, and treats patients in our acute unselected medical take.</p><p>Ambulatory care is overseen by a consultant and staffed by speciality doctors and advanced nurse practitioners, Short Stay Ward receives medical patients likely to be discharged within 72 hours of admission and achieves a high turnover of patients per day.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide high-quality, safe and compassionate care, to the acutely ill medical patientsadmitted to our hospital and provide them with the best possible experience duringtheir admission.</li><li>Active participation in Trust Clinical Governance activities, including audit, mortalityreview, and appraisal process. The appointee will ensure data collection andprocessing undertaken is consistently accurate and timely and complies with theTrust Data Quality Policy and Information Governance procedures.</li><li>Teaching training and supervision of doctors, nurses, and students to promote apositive and supportive atmosphere.</li><li>Responsible for keeping a record of Continuous professional development (CPD),including the Trust Mandatory training process.</li><li>Will be responsible for engaging in regular appraisal process for revalidationpurposes.</li><li>Undertake activities, defined, and agreed upon in the Job plan, using adequateleadership skills to contribute to the achievement of the Trust and Department goals.</li><li>Develop and promote departmental clinical guidelines with colleagues, in line with evidence-based best practice.</li></ul><h3>Diversity and Inclusion</h3><p>We are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in our workforce and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, with a special focus on welcoming individuals from disabled, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, as well as those from our local area.</p><h3>Benefits</h3><p>In line with our dedication to employee support, we offer a variety of benefits.
