Link3 Recruitment is proud to be working with a fantastic Primary School in Swadlincote who are seeking a strong, resilient Qualified Teacher to lead their Behaviour Unit for at least the next term, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
You will be responsible for teaching and managing a small group of 19 pupils, supported by five highly experienced Teaching Assistants who know the cohort extremely well. The class includes children who can display challenging behaviours, so we are looking for someone with:

Strong classroom management skills

Confidence and experience in SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs

The ability to create a calm, consistent and structured learning environment
You will have excellent support from the school leadership team. The current teacher is stepping into the SENCO role but will remain available for guidance and transition support. This is a supportive, inclusive school with a real commitment to making a difference for every child.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school setting

Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

DBS:
All applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting work.
