About the role
Vision for Education are pleased to be supporting a well regarded and popular Primary school in March, who are seeking a committed Year 1 Teacher to join their friendly and supportive staff team on a part-time, long-term supply basis, beginning in September 2026.
This school places a strong emphasis on well being, growth mindset, and creating a positive start to education. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel supported, secure, and motivated, with leadership providing clear guidance and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils’ development in phonics, early reading, writing, and maths
2. Create a calm, nurturing classroom environment with clear routines
3. Assess pupil progress and contribute to ongoing monitoring
4. Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
5. Work effectively alongside teaching assistants and support staff
6. Communicate appropriately with colleagues and parents
Requirements for this role:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
8. Experience teaching within a Primary school, preferably within key stage 1
9. A good understanding of early childhood development
10. The ability to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons
11. Strong classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
12. Two recent education-based references
13. Ability to provide full clear enhanced DBS clearance
