Your new companyHays Education are working with Alternative Provisions and SEN Schools in Derbyshire who are looking for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a long-term basis.
Your new roleWithin this role, you will be working as part of a team to support with managing behaviour and learning. You will be working 1:1 with students who require additional support. This will include supporting with academic tasks and also supporting students' social, emotional, and personal development. You will be responsible for managing behaviour and encouraging engagement to ensure maximum learning and development.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you must have recent and relevant experience within a similar position and have strong SEND experience. You will have a clear understanding of students' requirements and be able to confidently support individuals by being flexible and taking a holistic approach. You will have excellent SEND and EHC Plans knowledge and will be confident supporting in a 1:1 capacity.
