A well-established, multi-office law firm with a strong reputation in family and childcare law is seeking a Senior Childcare Solicitor to join its Leeds office. This role is ideal for an experienced childcare solicitor who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families, particularly in public law care proceedings.
You will be responsible for managing a busy caseload of care proceedings, child protection matters and complex public law cases. The role involves regular court advocacy, liaising with local authorities and guardians and providing clear, compassionate legal advice to clients. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior colleagues and supporting the long-term growth of the childcare team.
To be considered, you should be a qualified solicitor with at least 4 years’ PQE and solid experience in public law children matters. Children Panel Accreditation is highly desirable, but not essential. You’ll need strong knowledge of legal aid processes, child protection legislation and excellent advocacy and client care skills.
