Children's Social Worker
Join to apply for the Children's Social Worker role at Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service). We are hiring Children’s Social Workers for our Family Court Adviser in our Public/Private law team covering the Bedfordshire/Luton area.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and directly engage with children to understand and represent their views and wishes to the court.
* Use expertise in robust risk assessment and mediation to advocate for arrangements that prioritise the best interest of the children.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Social Work qualification is essential.
* Must be registered with Social Work England regulator.
* Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children and families in a social work capacity.
* Experience in Family Court proceedings and understanding of Private and/or Public Law would be an advantage.
* Organised and resilient with ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Location and Working Arrangements
While the role has contractual base in our Stevenage office, the teams work flexibly and remotely. Proximity to the office is not a critical consideration, allowing you to work in a way that suits you best.
