Offer description

Location: Morecambe, Lancashire

Salary: GBP 25,320 per annum

Are you caring, flexible, and creative? Do you thrive under pressure, connect well with people at all levels, and enjoy helping others live independently? Join us at Bay Tree House as a Crisis Recovery Worker.

Bay Tree House, located in Heysham, Lancashire, is a mental health crisis unit operating in Morecambe. We follow a recovery model and provide a 24-hour staffed service to residents aged 16 and above, including hospital prevention, step-down, respite, and crisis point support.

As a Day Recovery Worker, you will liaise with clinical teams regarding referrals and service users' presentations, making referral decisions accordingly. You will support individuals experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, helping them develop coping strategies. You will also participate in group programs addressing substance abuse, mental or physical illnesses, poverty, unemployment, or abuse.

No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are encouraged to apply. Essential qualities include a caring and compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm for helping others, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Availability for weekly rota and on-call duties is required.

If interested, please apply via the following link: Apply here.

We are committed to diversity and welcome applications from individuals with lived experience and from Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

This is a rolling recruitment; shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as they apply.

We offer a wide range of apprenticeships to support learning and development. Anyone in a permanent role who has passed probation can apply for relevant apprenticeships.

Waythrough, launched in October 2024 after the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship, supports people affected by substance use or gambling through subsidiaries Aquarius and others. Our mission is to break down barriers to support, enabling individuals to live valued lives.
