Overview
Admin Officer – Social Security and Child Support (SSCS) – Bradford (Location: Bradford, Yorkshire and the Humber). Join the HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) to provide essential administrative support to Court users, the judiciary and management, with a focus on Infected Blood Compensation appeals.
Responsibilities
* Accurately enter data from paper and digital sources into the database.
* Handle telephone, post, e‑mail and other correspondence with service users and judiciary.
* Process requests for further evidence and list appeals for hearings.
* Maintain case management records and liaise with venue clerks and judiciary staff.
* Support the tribunal system and deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail and efficient database entry.
* Adaptable to use various software packages.
* Ability to organise time, prioritise and multi‑task in a busy environment.
* Desirable: experience managing telephone calls of a sensitive nature.
Working Arrangements
Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week (Monday‑Friday). The role may include part‑time, flexible or job‑sharing arrangements as per MoJ policy. Hybrid working – a blend of office and home – may be available, but a minimum of 60% of work time should be spent in the Bradford office.
