A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join our growing Transport Engineering consultancy team in Manchester.

The role
We will offer comprehensive training and development to support you in designing innovative Transport Engineering and Infrastructure solutions across the diverse sectors served by our Built Environment Team
The role will involve:
* Assisting Project Managers on a variety of projects in sectors such as residential, retail, power, commercial, and industrial throughout the UK and internationally
* Working as part of a design team, reporting to a senior engineer, and assisting with the production of technical designs
* Developing design knowledge and skills using specialist design software
* Site supervision of construction projects and record keeping
* Assisting with the compilation of design and construction tender packages
* Assisting with report compilation
Due to the training nature of the role, it is expected that you will typically work from the office, but hybrid working is possible.
We support engineers in obtaining professional qualifications and have a support network in place to help individuals become Incorporated or Chartered with a relevant institution such as the ICE or CIHT.
About you
You will have a relevant degree in Civil Engineering and some experience in highway engineering in your current or previous employment.
Other key attributes we look for include:
* A general understanding of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) or Manual for Streets
* Some experience supporting the design and delivery of highway projects
* The ability to work independently, with strong organisational and logical thinking skills
* Confidence with data, numeracy, and IT, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A willingness to learn and the ability to manage multiple project types simultaneously
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is also required.
