We are working on behalf of a prestigious private medical clinic to recruit an experienced Senior Medical Secretary for a fast paced and high profile environment. This is a temporary position with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The successful individual will be the heartbeat of the clinic’s operations, working alongside the Business Development Manager, helping to develop relationships with patients and supporting high-net-worth patients, liaising closely with doctors, coordinating complex schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and care.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for high end clientele, both UK based and international
2. Liaise professionally and efficiently with consultants, GPs, private doctors abroad, and international embassies/hotels
3. Manage and coordinate complex diaries and multiple patient bookings with precision and discretion
4. Walk patients through procedures, offering clear and empathetic communication at every step
5. Maintain smooth patient journeys from enquiry to aftercare, acting as their key point of contact
6. Ensure all administrative duties are completed to the highest standard, including medical typing, correspondence, and filing
7. Uphold GDPR and confidentiality standards in all dealing
8. Support the clinical team with knowledge of GP procedures, practice management, and clinic workflows
Requirements:
9. Minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Secretary in Private Healthcare organisation
10. Skilled with Mosaiq/Meditech/DGL/EMIS etc]
11. Strong communication/adminastrative skills
